| iPhone 3G with 4.2.1 iOS and 05.15.04 baseband jailbreak & unlock notes - Atom8 - Jul 10, 2011 3:22pm | | Tips & Tricks @ Technology - Views (8690) - Ratings(2): ( 3.50 ) | Quick notes on some complicated process to jailbreak and unlock the damn iphone 3G I got before I forget.
- Run redsn0w 0.9.6b6 in windows (set compatibility mode to WinXP-SP2 and run-as Administrator)
- Select IPSW 4.2.1 restore
- Check 'Install Cydia' (to jailbreak) & 'Install iPadbaseband' (for unlock later)
- Put phone in DFU mode (from OFF state, hit power button & hold 3sec, keep holding and hold down 9sec Home key, release Power button and keep holding Home key for another 15sec)
- redsn0w will start fetching ipad baseband and complete the rest
- IF FAILED and stuck at 'uploading ramdisk' turn off phone (hit Power and Home key and hold both for 5+sec)
- Close redsn0w and restart the whole process until it works
- Check baseband once complete it'll say 06.15.00 and Cydia icon is present
Now on iphone after redsn0w jailbreak is complete
- Run Cydia
- Add source with http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
- Search for Ultrasn0w, download and run it
