Banthad Refugee Camp Memoire: Section 6 - BanThad

Dumping my parse memory that I cannot keep track of forever.

Banthad camp was an extension to Site II refugee camp that housed mostly of Cambodian refugees. Banthad camp was a new home for lots of Vietnamese boat people that were collected around South-East of Thailand during the years 1986-1989.

People who made it out of Banthad Camp will go to Panat Nikkom (Panat Nikhom or Panatnikhom?). It is also another large refugee camp for many generations of boat people.

Apparently, there were 8 sections built in total. When I arrived, the whole section 6 was totally un-inhabited by anyone. It was just full of rooftops and bare bamboo pillars that you could see through from start-to-end from afar. All units were built neatly in straight rows and columns.

There was a Public Library, an Electronics Training School and a Church in front of Section 6. Later a playground was built near the center of the front row.
